(Vertep is a Slavic notion meaning both their perception of world structure - God's creation and the yearly Christian times puppet performance in Russia and other East Slavic States. Vertep on the stage consists of three levels - Earth - earthly life, Hell, and Paradise).
The plot of the Vertep drama is based on the historical facts about the birth of Jesus Christ found in New Testament. Vertepschik tells the story about tsar Herode who ordered to "beat unmercifully infants" in the town of Bethlehem. Can the cruel ruler avoid justful punishment for that?

Duration of the one-man show - 45 minutes without an interval.
For pre-school, junior and senior school ages.
Opening night took place in 1996.
